Urban artist Armstrong will launch his mixtape ‘BrB’ at Shire Highlands Hotel in Blantyre on Sunday with the support of Nde’feyo Entertainment crew Maskal, Piksy, Gwamba, DareDevils, Blak Jak, Fredokiss, Rina and Issu.
Armstrong said the mixtape will be released as he finalises recording his debut Afro-R&B album that has hit singles ‘Sinditha Kumvetsa’ and ‘Ndamusowa’.
“People should not confuse the two because they are two different projects. The mixtape is a prelude to my mainstream album which will be coming at the end of this year,” said Armstrong.
Armstrong said the ‘BrB’ mixtape also offers contemporary songs that people outside Malawi can listen and relate to because all the tracks, except one, are in English.
Some of the tracks on the mixtape include ‘In love with a DJ’, ‘Don’t Wanna Talk About It’, ‘Ukhale Wanga’, ‘Without Your Love’, ‘Beautiful’, ‘Here we go’, ‘Hey Shawty’ and ‘Tonight’.
‘Hey Shawty’ was already out on the internet for promotion and the label is expected to release it on radio alongside ‘In love with a DJ’ this week.
Nde’feyo Entertainment is expected to make the ‘BrB’ mixtape accessible for free downloads after the launch whereas CDs will be available for sale at K300 during the launch.
