The Blantyre Magistrate court on Wednesday granted bail to Thom Mpinganjira who was re-arrested on Tuesday by the Anti Corruption on allegations that he made attempts to bribe judges handling the presidential election case.
In his ruling Chief Resident Magistrate Simeon M’deza granted Mpinganjira bail on condition that he pays MK1 million cash bond and non cash bond of K5 million.
The court also asked Mpinganjira to among others surrender his travel documents to the courts and that he appears before ACB offices every two weeks.
He has also produced two sureties with a non cash bond of K3 million. And that he should inform the ACB, in writing, if he intends to travel outside the country.-MBC Online
