Malawi Paralympic Committee Gears For 2020 Paralympic Games

The Malawi Paralympics Committee (MPC) Vice President, Joseph Galanje said the committee has intensified preparations ahead of this year’s Summer Paralympics games to be held in Japan from 25 August to 6 September 2020.

Galanje said recently the committee sent its two athletes Taonere Banda and Alinafe Puwa with their Coach Agnes Chikwakwa Jamali to a 5 days training at Nippon school sports university in Zambia as part of preparations.

According to the Vice President Galanje the training will help the athlete’s to prepare well for the ahead competitions.

“The aim of the training is to prepare the athletes and to see some of the areas they need to polish up as they are preparing for this year’s Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan,” said Galanje in an interview on Monday.

The 2020 Summer Paralympics are an upcoming major international multi-sport event for athletes with disabilities governed by the International Paralympic Committee.
