Blantyre- based arts group, Luso Langa, says it is expected to start shooting a Malawian Film end of February, which is one of the group’s projects planned for the year 2020.
In an interview with Malawi News Agency (MANA) on Tuesday, Chairman and Director of Luso Langa, Thumbiko Mwafulirwa, said the film will feature young and upcoming actors in the group with a story about a Malawian youth.
”The film, which will focus on the lifestyle of young Malawian youths and culture, is themed at ‘how life is not fair’.
“The project is expected to commence end of this month if all goes well. Currently, we are doing trainings as we will also be introducing some of the young and upcoming actors and actresses in this movie in a story of a Malawian semi urban youth,” said Mwafulirwa.
He added that the film is one way of marketing the comeback of the group to the industry after recess.
”This film will be one way of getting the group back on its feet after being idle for some time since the last release of a film in 2018 which did not do well on the market. However, people should expect something extraordinary this time,” he said.
Luso Langa Arts Group, which has released songs and shot drama videos since its beginning in 2016, is better known by its songs and short films like Usataye mtima, Moto, Anawa ayi, Ndiangati, Love on the run and many more.
