Standard Bank has eased DSTV subscription payment for its customers through a partnership with local operator Multichoice Malawi, in a move that both firms say will deepen customer satisfaction.
DSTV is a direct broadcast satellite service in Sub Saharan Africa that provides multiple sports, edutainment and recreational programming to millions across the continent.
With the new arrangement, Standard Bank customers can now pay for their subscription using the Bank’s 247 online and Enterprise online digital platforms.
Standard Bank Head of Personal and Business Banking, Phillip Madinga, says the new payment option offers more value to customers on one hand and signifies the bank’s digital aspirations on the other.
“Through this partnership we are allowing our customers to have easy access to DSTV content in a flexible, secure and convenient way.
This is a continuation of the digital transformation journey and enhancement of our digital products and services which are put together to provide convenience, comfort and security for our customers.”
Multichoice Malawi Managing Director, Augustine Banda, notes that an additional payment platform brings more satisfaction for their customers as they will now be able to pay for their subscription anytime, anywhere without any hassles.
Banda says, “Our customers have been looking forward to this solution and we are very excited to implement this with Standard Bank plc.
We always respond to our customer needs, and this milestone bears testimony to that.”
