President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has appointed former army Commander General Vincent Nundwe as Malawi’s High Commissioner to the Republic of India.
According to Chief Secretary to Government, the appointment of General Nundwe will be subject to confirmation by the Public Appointments Committee of Parliament.
President Mutharika replaced General Nundwe with Major General Andrew Lapken Namathanga as Malawi Defence Force (MDF) Commander after the expiry of his contract in March.
