When one looks into the future, one tends to wonder if the Malawian Judiciary has calculated what is in store for them. Sad enough, that this is the least thing on their minds.
But the backlash which awaits them shall shock them. This reminds me of the Kenyan scenario when the judiciary thought it’s above reproach and the law themselves. But the unbundling and backlash which followed was something else.
The Malawian judiciary will be dealt with by whatever government will come in Malawi. This shall come to pass. The tribal cabal will be dealt with as they have shown that they can dismantle and remove a government.
No government on earth shall ever be comfortable with such an overbearing judiciary.
They forget one thing the changes are done by the legislature and executive. The deliberate idea of not using the real evidence the ballots and order a recount will always haunt the judiciary.
They eliminated that completely but looked at what they term other factors over evidence.
The crafters of the constitution were not naive in their protection of ballots to be sealed for reasonable period of time, they saw into the future which the wise men and the lady completely ignored the right of Malawians their vote. It’s still sealed but being suffocated to death by the judiciary.
The future isn’t far Uhuru cracked the whip on the overbearing Kenyan judiciary. So the last thing it doesn’t control it’s the voters and whichever government shall be in place. In a democracy the judiciary shall be asked to defend their decisions someday not far from now.
As for now it can get away with murder. But any logical politician who feels advantaged or disadvantaged knows exactly what this means.
To see into the future it’s a gift not so many have. It’s the calm before the storm. Nobody has got the guarantee of winning an election it might be your arch enemy or you friend but you should be prepared for what’s in store.
This fresh presidential election has exposed so many and its unfortunate nobody knows what the future holds till it reveals itself. Food for thought.
