Ministry of Health has confirmed a new case of Covid-19 in Lilongwe, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Malawi to eighteen, including two deaths.
The Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Dan Namarika confirmed the development on Tuesday during a Press Briefing.
Dr. Namarika said patient recently travelled to Tanzania, a country which has registered over 250 Covid-19 cases and 10 deaths.
Recently, government through the Minister of Health Jappie Mhango announced a 21 day lockdown as a measure of fighting the spread of Covid-19.
The lockdown was to commence Saturday, March 18, 2020 but was suspended after HRDC obtained a court injunction restraining government from implementing the lockdown order thereby putting the lives of Malawians at risk.

Which flight or bus or was it personal car. If public transport give full description and institute follow up measures.
