Malawi Government through the Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Wildlife has disclosed that Sunbird Tourism Limited will take over the operations of Chintheche Inn in Nkhatabay.
Sunbird Tourism Limited is the largest hospitality chain in Malawi with seven hotels and resorts.
Minister in the Ministry, Symon Vuwa Kaunda disclosed the development over the week-end during a rally held at Chintheche in the district.
According to Kaunda, the concession of Chintheche Inn to Sun bird Ltd will improve service and also address youth unemployment in the district.
Kaunda also outlined some development projects the governing Mighty Democratic Progress Party (DPP) under the wise and dynamic leadership of Professor Peter Mutharika intend to implement in the district.
The Minister also urged people from Nkhatabay to vote for the president Mutharika and his runningmate Atupele Muluzi in the forth coming presidential polls for development to continue making good stride in the district.
