Parliamentary Committee on Social and Community Affairs has disclosed that it will come up with a bill that will set the penalty of castration for convicts of sexual abuse.
Chairperson of the Committee Savel Kafwafwa said this in an interview with a local media amid growing calls for Parliament to introduce stiffer penalties for perpetrators of defilement and rape.
According to Kafwafwa, the nation is in shock following a wave of sexual violence targeting women and girls.
Kafwafwa urged men to be responsible and protect rights of girls and women in the country.
