The Police are searching for four suspects who broke out and escaped from police holding cells in Mzuzu last night.
Mzuzu Police Public Relations Officer, Paul Tembo confirmed the development on Tuesday. He said authorities are currently investigating the matter.
This is a first cell break in twelve years as a similar incident took place at Luwinga police unit which is also under the jurisdiction of Mzuzu Police station in 2008.
