Malawi’s first deputy speaker of Parliament Madalitso Kazombo has become the latest public figure to test positive for Covid-19.
Confirming the development on his official facebook page, Kazombo who is also a Kasungu East legislator was optimistic that he will bounce back to good health with God’s intervention.
“To all friends and family members, I want to inform you that your son, your brother, your friend, your servant is on self quarantine after I tested positive of covid 19. Physically am strong. Oxygen levels quite ok. Jehovah Ralpha will heal me.” wrote Kazombo
The development comes barely a day after Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Hon Lingston Belekanyama also tested positive for the pandemic.
Last week, the pandemic also attacked another Cabinet Minister Ken Kandodo Banda.

So far, no message has come from his office through his Press Secretary or from Office of the President and Cabinet concerning the crisis that whipping the country at an alarming rate.
The Presidential Task Force on covid-19 pandemic has just announced that Kamuzu Central Hospital and Bwaila Hospital in Lilongwe are full to capacity of covid-19 patients and can longer accommodate anyone. Crisis!
