The Association of Persons with Albinism in Malawi (APAM) has elected Young Muhamba as the President for the association.
Muhamba has been elected as the president after beating Ian Simbota by 40 against 35 votes during APAM’s elective annual general assembly in Salima district.
Meanwhile, the out-going president Simbota has conceded defeat; saying he leaves the office a happy man with what he has achieved for persons with albinism in Malawi.
APAM is a grassroots organization that protects and empowers people with Albinism and spreads awareness about the condition.
