Retired Child Justice Magistrate, Esme Tembenu, and four others have survived what could have been a fatal road accident just after Mtowe in Nsanje district, Zodiak Online reports.
Tembenu and the four officials were returning after conducting an awareness campaign on 16 days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence, organized by UN Women.
District Information Officer, Robert Nayeja, who was part of the team, told Zodiak Online that Tembenu was driving the vehicle, a Toyota Belta registration number NU 418.
Tembenu and a male passenger have sustained injuries and are being treated at Nsanje District Hospital.
