UTM, a major partner in the Tonse Alliance Administration, says it trusts the country’s judicial system and will allow all due processes to be followed in relation to the party’s president Dr Saulos Chilima who has been mentioned in the Anti-Corruption Bureau report.
The party’s publicity Secretary, Frank Mwenifumbo, told MBC in an interview that the party is waiting for a logical conclusion of the case through the country’s competent courts.
“We have issued the statement with a strong belief in the judicial and legal systems of Malawi and whatever has been done, finally, the President of UTM shall be vindicated by the competent court of law through the justice system,” said Mwenifumbo.
He further called on UTM followers across the globe to be united and put the country’s interests first
