A Malawian owned screen printing company, Best Screen Printers, says it is set to train youth in screen printing and entrepreneurship as one way of complimenting government’s effort of creating jobs for the youth.
In an interview with Malawi Voice on Saturday the Director for Best Screen Printers, Gladys Siula Chitengo said the training will take place from 5th to 23rd June at Chirimba in Blantyre, Next to Kingston Motors.
According to Siula Chitengo, the training which will focus on designing, entrepreneurship, screen printing, car and shop branding among others, will help to create more youth entrepreneurs in the country.
”We thought of organizing the training as a way of contributing to national development in line with Malawi Vision 2063 which talks of transforming Malawi into a wealthy, inclusive and self-reliant nation.
“We believe the training will help in creating more entrepreneurs. If more Malawians are empowered economically it means more people will be self-reliant in doing so together as a country,” said Siula Chitengo, adding that the fee for the training is MK150, OOO while registration is MK5000 only.
She further said: “Our main targets are fresh graduates, school leavers and youth who are in majority and unemployed. We want to empower them to be entrepreneurs and be able to employ others. In that way we will contribute to job creation which complements the government’s efforts of creating jobs.”
Siula Chitengo says: “Screen printing is a lucrative business in Malawi. There are very few players in the field. We are in a digital age whereby companies should be innovative enough to create new things using new technology.
“People have been trained in different skills like carpentry, tailoring etc. We thought of coming up with this training to impart Malawians with new technology in line with digitalization.”
Best Screen Printers, a local company which strongly believes in innovation, provides quality Screen Printing, Embroidery and Branding services.
