Malawians are mourning the death of a 90-years-old actress Leya Ketrina Aziyele Mlewa popularly known as Gogo Mlewa.
According to the statement from the family, Gogo Mlewa died on Tuesday in Lilongwe after a long illness.
The remains of Gogo Mlewa will be laid to rest tomorrow Thursday, June 8 at Mlewa Village in Salima district.
Gogo Mlewa, who received Honorary Innovation Award in 2021, became popular in 2020 after her comedies featuring her nephew went viral on social media platforms.
