Family members and scores of people on Sunday gathered at catholic Institute (CI) Cemetery in Blantyre to unveil the tombstone of the departed comedian Eric Mabedi.
The tombstone unveiling ceremony started with a mass at St Louis Montfort Catholic Church.
After the unveiling ceremony, there was a celebration of Mabedi’s life at his house, spiced by traditional dances served by Sambang’oma Troupe.
Mabedi, who was until his death, director of Kwathu Drama Group and Copyright Society of Malawi (Cosoma) Board member died on August 2, 2021.
The comedian who formed a powerful comic duo with the late John Nyanga, trading as Izeki ndi Jakobo, was born on June 21 1963.
