Yesterday, Honourable Abida Mia opened under 5 Clinic for people of her constituency. The clinic has been built using Constituency Development Fund of K28 million (Twenty Eight Million Kwacha).
In this same country, in my home constituency, our member of parliament has never built anything using CDF. The constituency doesn’t have even a single health center, not even bridges, nothing. I know there are many constituencies suffering the same way.
On the flip side, there was a toilet that costed us K20 million. There was a cattle slaughtering shed that costed us K28 million.
The judgement today is that we can do better with our monies. Bravo Abida Mia, you are such a wonderful heart to your people and Malawians.
