Silver Strikers Coach Hendrikus Pieter De Jongh has called on the football fraternity allow fair play if the country need to make strides in this sport.
De Jongh was angry with match officials after their goalless draw against Chitipa United at Civo Stadium on Sartuday in Lilongwe, saying they failed to give more of extra time citing frequent stop during play of the match.
De Jongh further said referee failed to give out cards for the match which was very intense and physical.
“We need a fair play in Malawi football, everyone who watched this game is a witness that no cards were given out and entire first half.” expressed De Jongh.
He therefore, vowed that match officials took away his two points, hence the need to improve officiation levels.
On the other hand, Chitipa United Boss McDonald Nginde Mtetemera cited team hard work that blocked the Central Bankers to grab three points.
Mtetemera further explained their focus is to grab more points and rank in a better position in the TNM Super League.
Silver Strikers still tops log table with 25 points while Chitipa is on fourth with 17 points.
Meanwhile, Blantyre derby also ended in a goalless draw at Kamuzu Stadium, where Nomads hold much of the possession of the match. Bullets come second in the TNM Super League log table with 22 points, while Wanderers on third with 19 points.
In other TNM Super League matches, Red Lions won 2-1 against Karonga United and Moyale Barracks beat Extreme FC 2-0 in Mzuzu.
