Football Association of Malawi (FAM) President Dr. Walter Nyamilandu Manda has been elected into the CAF (Confederation of African Football) Executive Committee.
Walter was announced the winner after amassing 35 of the 54 votes during the Elections held on the sidelines of the CAF AGM in Ivory Coast.
His opponents Mohamed Ally Samir Sobha from Mauritius and Mokhosi Mohapi of Lesotho got 15 and 3 votes respectively while one vote was declared null and void.
The Confederation of African Football is the administrative and controlling body for association football, futsal and beach soccer in Africa.
