Maranatha Private Academy Schools which recently topped the public university selection list as released by the National Council of Higher Education (NCHE) by sending 306 students to the university has pulled another outstanding performance.
The development follows the publication of the university selection list by Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR).
Managing Director of Maranatha Private Academy Schools, Ernest Kaonga, said the development is a big testimony that Maranatha schools are in a serious drive to prepare students for higher education so that they become productive citizens who will support the country’s development aspirations.
“We have done it again! 36 students from Maranatha Private Academy Schools have been to pursue various programmes at LUANAR. The 306 students didn’t include this new figure thus we can proudly say in the 2022 Malawi School Certificate of Education we have managed to send a total of 342 students to various public universities,” said Kaonga.
Kaonga further said his institution believes in quality that’s the more reason it offers academic challenges and rewards hardworking students who get outstanding results at the national level.
“You are aware that Maranatha Schools is the only institution in the country that awards students who get the best grades in Junior Certificate of Education and Malawi School Certificate of Education examinations. Next month, August we are giving a student from a public school for attaining six points at MSCE alongside other students from Maranatha and other schools. That’s what we believe in. So this new result that 36 students from Maranatha Schools have also made it to LUANAR is worth celebrating,” said Kaonga.
LUANAR intake stands at over 10,000 students. The institution offers over 72 programmes according to the institution’s website.
