Grezelder Jeffrey, who has been replaced as Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Secretary General (SG), has described the decision as ‘foolish’.
Yesterday, party president Peter Mutharika announced the appointment of Clement Mwale as the new SG while Jeffrey is now Vice President of the party for the Central Region.
Reacting to the development, Jeffrey said party authorities are acting crazy as she is tomorrow expected to attend the party’s Central Executive Committee meeting in her capacity as SG.
“The party has invited me to the meeting as SG and I am attending it tomorrow. I have not received the letter and the one I have seen on social media is not addressed to me.
“Meanwhile, the letter is also not signed. If I take the matter to court, will they accept that letter?” she wondered.-(Story Credit: Isaac Salima, TIMES 360)
