Akometsi Entertainment completed their December Shut Down Tour, having conducted some of the most successful shows of the year.
According to Laurent Kwakwala, the Marketing and Operations Manager, Akometsi artists performed in Karonga, Mzuzu, Rumphi, Kasungu, Lilongwe and Salima.
“This was one of our longest months as we toured the central and northern part of Malawi. It was very challenging to out all these together, but we did it anyway, and we are grateful for the support. People came in large numbers to our shows, and we are glad that our artists are being appreciated and loved all over,” he said.
Kwakwala further explained that they will have the same tour again in 2024, but on a bigger scale.
“Our plans are to go beyond Malawi in 2024. We want to tour Africa and Europe if all goes well. We will just continue to work hard, grow our numbers, and release good content for people to enjoy,” he said.
Other artists who joined the tour included Gwamba, Charisma, Chizmo, and Wikise. Currently, Akometsi has Pop Young, Emmie Deebo, Qaso, and Diego Watumanye under their management.
