It get sweeter that this! Malawi President Peter Mutharika’s top security aide, Norman Chisale has taken campaign against the coronavirus pandemic to a new level by promoting hygiene among street children.
He started the campaign in Blantyre last week with the feeding and dressing 25 vulnerable children in Blantyre before taking the initiative to Zomba on Saturday, when 45 street children benefitted.
While treating the children to sumptuous meals at Kip’s Restaurant and buying them new clothes and groceries at Pep and Metro Stores, Chisale also taught the children how they could avoid getting infected by the global outbreak in line with precautionary measures laid down in President Mutharika’s recent declaration of State of Disaster.
As a concerned citizen, I felt obliged to assist the government in its campaign against the pandemic,” the State House Director of Security said.
He has since advised the public to follow procedures that the government has put in place to avoid being affected by the virus.
