Civo Service United has signed former Masters Security Football Club midfielder, Talekeleni Azelu Josephy and former UD Songo goalkeeper, Charles Swini ahead of 2020 TNM Super League.
Civo Service General Secretary, Ronald Chiwaula confirmed the development to Malawi News Agency (Mana) in Lilongwe Wednesday that the players are already with the team in Lilongwe.
‘’It is true that Josephy is in our camp and he will starts training with the team once we will resume training and for Swini, we are just waiting for the clearance from Mozambique where he was playing last season but I can confirm that by any means he will be our player this season,’’ he said.
In an interview with Swini, the former Malawi National football team goalkeeper, confirmed the development said he has joined Civo Service United on a one year contract.
He said he was happy to be part of Civo Service squad and that he was ready to show Civo fans why the team has signed him.
‘‘It is not a new development to play football in the country and I believe that when season will starts football fans will see how I am prepared but I am ready to do my best with the team,’’ the former Silver Strikers goalkeeper pointed out.
Civo Service Football Club has been active on a player transfer window market having signed former Nyasa Big Bullets Football Club defender, Bashir Maunde.
