The Northern region has registered first case of Covid-19 bringing the total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 to 34 in Malawi.
Ministry of Health confirmed the development on Sunday through a statement posted on its official Facebook Page.
According to the Ministry, the new case is of a 27 year old man from Karonga who recently travelled to Tanzania and was placed on self quarantine.
The first three cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in the country on April 2, 2020 in Lilongwe.
