Malawi has registered 10 new COVID – 19 cases bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 82 including 3 deaths.
Minister of Health Jappie Mhango confirmed the development on Friday during a press briefing in Mzuzu. He said the cases are through local transmission.
According to Mhango, the new cases have been recorded in the districts of Blantyre, Lilongwe, Phalombe and Mzuzu.
The first three COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Malawi on 2 of April 2020 a development which forced President Professor Peter Mutharika to declare the pandemic as national disaster.
