Malawians have rushed to social media to express their views on a statement made by the opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP) President ‘Reverend’ Lazarus Chakwera who said was ready to cast out Hi5 demons in the country.
Address a political rally at Msundwe Ground in Lilongwe on Saturday; the former Malawi Assemblies of God President Lazarus Chakwera said the Hi5 demons are affecting the economy of the country.
“What type of thieves are these? They are not stopping. Even at a time we were in court they were still stealing…We need to get rid of that demon. Out!,” said Chakwera referring to people who were taking part in violent protests as demons.
Commenting on the statement one of the social media user Chestah Vulax said Chakwera is a demon himself and he needs deliverance.
“Chakwera too needs deliverance otherwise he will end up like Judas Escariot,” posted Vulax on facebook
Another one posted: “let him first remove that demon which made him to run away from God.
Mark Chicco Nzindo said: “ I wish I could listen to his old preaching so that I can get to know if mbwerera amayankhulazi ndi zakale or ndi themberero for forsaking zampingo to join politics.
I hope Tembo wakalamba sangathe kumulangiza kuti anamusiira chipani with trust kut ali ndi nzeru but alas! Nonsense.”
