ADMA Impressed with Southern Region Draughts League Progress

The Association of Draughts in Malawi (ADMA) has expressed satisfaction with the progress of 1 Million Kwacha Southern Region Draughts League (SRDL) in which 10 teams are taking part.

In an interview General Secretary for ADMA, Suzgo Nkhoma said the league will help the association to groom new talents which will be representing Malawi in both local and international tournaments.

“The third week of the league has shown great talent as we have seen some young players emerging and even defeating the professional players in the league and we are impressed, ” said Nkhoma, who is also president for Africa Draft Federation (ADF).

Meanwhile, Ndirande Scorpions from Blantyre is leading the log table with six points out of three games played.

The winner will walk away with K250,000 while the runners up will get K100, 000. Bronze medalists will cart home K55 000 and the fourth position will be given K25, 000.
